Good Morning AP Lit Students!
What a nice surprise this morning, to wake up and find that we have no school - and therefore a three day weekend. Enjoy it!
You may be wondering, what exactly is due for Ms. LeeKeenan's class now that we don't have school until Monday. Do I have to complete that poetry response that was due today, but I forgot about? Or, Oh Pooh! I did that poetry response but I didn't have to because there is no school today.
Well, a promise is a promise, and I said that I would only collect poetry responses on Fridays and if we don't have school on Fridays you don't need to do it. So that means, for those of you who completed your first poetry response (yeah!), you have already done your homework for NEXT Friday, which is when I will collect them. Confused yet? Sorry about that. Basically, if it is not Friday, DO NOT hand in a poetry response.
So what will I be checking on Monday?
I will be collecting your Bluest Eye diagnostic essay in class, but you should also sign up for Moodle and respond to all of the forums in the: Welcome to AP Literature & Composition! What's On Your Mind section by Sunday night. I noticed that a number of students have already posted their independent reading book preference in the IR lounge. Nice job! I will respond to those today.
Please also remember to bring in $6 for Frankenstein, Heart of Darkness, and Hamlet so that I can order the books on Monday.
Finally, take a look at the "Literature Abuse" document that I emailed you. Are you a literature abuser? :) A friend sent this to me and I thought it might make some of you giggle.
