Congratulations on surviving a very busy week!  

Today we started our Fahrenheit 451 and Censorship Unit.  I have attached today's PowerPoint (in a PDF format) here so that you can copy down the Ray Bradbury and Dystopian society notes (on the last two slides).  Please copy all of these notes down in your notebook.  Printing out these pages will not suffice.

Your homework this weekend is to:

1.Read Harrison Bergeron by Kurt Vonnegut.  Annotate as you read.  In addition to your reading I would like you to pick one passage that you would like to closely read.  Copy down the passage.   For your passage write three sentences.  Each sentence should focus on one of the below items:

                        1.the content of the passage

                          2.the style of the passage

                            3.level two or level three question.

                    2.Copy the Bradbury and Dystopian notes in your notebooks.  Notes can be found online.


  The questions that are attached you should read as well, but do not need to complete.  On Monday, we will have a Socratic Seminar and you will use these questions as one way to discuss the text.
