Research Guiding Questions

November 18, 2010

RESEARCH:  Your research needs to focus on all aspects of your subtopic of censorship.  You will need to research both the benefits and pitfalls of censorship.  Use the following questions to guide your studies:

*    What is the rationale?

*    Who is enacting the form of censorship?

*    How are the censors threatening the stability of society?

*    How are they strengthening the stability of society?

*    Is it for the protection of citizens or the protection of an idea (agenda)?

*    What underlying values/traditions/etc. are the censors trying to uphold?

*    What aspects of society are being banned?  For whom?
