Welcome to English 10 Honors!

No Vocabulary for Two Weeks!

October 24, 2010
Enjoy the reprieve from your vocabulary study.  I'm giving you the next two weeks off because of our Mock Trial and midterm exams.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS

October 24, 2010
** Term 1 Ends FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 5TH.
** All make up work needs to be submitted by WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 3RD (this includes papers that you are rewriting).
** Midterms are on NOVEMBER 3RD AND 4TH.

In regards to your late extension passes, you MUST turn in your extension pass ON THE DAY THE ASSIGNMENT IS DUE.  I use this pass as a place holder.  If I don't get a pass, a ZERO goes down in my gradebook.
So...that means in regards to homework:
You will lose credit if
1) homework is not passed in on the day it is due or
 2) you plan on passing in homework late but DO NOT give me an extension pass.

Regarding TESTS/QUIZZES/PAPERS
:
  • Quizzes must be made up within two days of your absence (unless we have previously talked).
  • Papers and take home quizzes will be penalized a portion of a letter grade for every day that they are late (unless a late pass is turned in).

Everything I have stated above is outlined in your SYLLABUS.  I just thought you might benefit from a reminder since a new term is starting in a couple of weeks.
