On Friday our
Fahrenheit 451 and Censorship unit will commence. In preparation for this day you will need to read three articles on the following topics: 1)
Political censorship, 2)
Religious censorship, 3)
Censorship in the visual/fine arts. Please read and
annotate all three articles.
On Wednesday (Period 4) and Thursday (Period 2) you need to bring to class your banned/challenged book. Your independent reading book will contribute to your study of censorship over the next three weeks. In addition to your reading and understanding of the book you will participate in two literature circles and write an analytical paper on your chosen book.
