For the next two weeks please reference the below schedule, which includes what we are doing in class and what your homework assignments are.  Handouts given out in class have also been attached.

TIMELINE FOR THE NEXT TWO WEEKS

Homework for the week of March 21 - 25: 

 1)Read Northanger Abbey Literary Criticism 

 

2)  Write the first 1.5 pages of your very own gothic novel. (Rubric is attached here.)

3) Find 3-4 reviews of your book (Look in the New York Times and Boston Globe book review section, Amazan.com, Barnes & Nobles Booksellers, and other like companies.  Make sure to keep track of your sources, print out the reviews if possible.)

Monday, March 21 – “Good Book” Intro (Major Data Sheet Due)

Tuesday – Thursday, March 22 – 24th – MCAS and watch Northanger Abbey

Friday, March 25 – Library Work Day

Homework: Write a draft of your “Good Book Proposal”

Monday, March 28 – Peer edit Proposal drafts; work day in library to work on PowerPoint; conference w/Ms. LeeKeenan

Homework: Write a second draft of your proposal, making revisions based on today’s peer edits.

Tuesday, March 29 – Work day in the library (working on PowerPoint); conference with Ms. LeeKeenan

Homework: Write a third draft of your proposal, making revisions based on the feedback Ms. LeeKeenan has given you. Final draft needs to be submitted onto Turnitin.  Finish your PowerPoint for tomorrow’s presentations.
