This is the final push.  I know that you may be spending your weekend under a pile of work, but I know that you can do it.  Last week!

A couple of reminders for the weekend AND next week:
1)  Final "Good Book" proposal drafts are due on Monday.  You need to bring in a hard copy with your research notes stapled to the draft.  You also need to submit the proposal onto Turnitin.
2)  Half of the class will be presenting on Monday and the other half on Tuesday.  The proposal and presentation rubric is attached here.
3) Final portfolio is due in a presentation binder on Monday.
4)  Final exams are on Wednesday and Thursday.  Your final exam study guide is attached here.

Your vacation homework is as follows:
1. Write the first couple of pages of a gothic novel.
2. Finish reading your independent reading book.  Final "Good Book Proposal" project is attached here.  You do not need to work on this project over vacation if you don't want to.  But you should familiarize yourself with the project essential questions, requirements, and expectations.
3. Read Chapters 18-20 in Northanger Abbey.  No reading questions.
4. Start working on your final portfolio - Due Monday, January 10th

1.  Read chapters 12-13 in Northanger Abbey.
2.  Complete Chapter 11,12, and 13 reading questions.
3.  Study for your reading quiz tomorrow!!

**The quiz will consist of short answer questions on Chapters 1-13 (reading comprehension, narration, and characterization) and the gothic texts (packet given to you by Ms. Levy).  There will be twenty questions total.
